The more you tell us — budget, backlogs, gap years, a low CGPA — the more useful the answer. Awkward details do not disqualify you; hiding them wastes everyone's time in August.

How much does it really cost to study in Italy?
Tuition at public universities is calculated on family income through the ISEE parificato, and commonly falls between €0 and €4,000 a year. Living costs run roughly €450–800 a month depending on the city — Milan and Rome sit at the top of that range, Pisa, Perugia and Genoa near the bottom. A DSU grant can offset most of it.
Do I need to speak Italian?
Not for an English-taught degree, and there are hundreds of them. You will need Italian for daily life and most part-time work, so we recommend starting A1 before departure. Some universities ask for a B2 Italian certificate only for Italian-taught programmes.
What are the intakes and when should I start?
The main intake is September/October, with applications opening from around November of the previous year and most deadlines falling between January and May. A smaller February intake exists at some universities. Start 10–12 months ahead — the scholarship deadlines, not the admission deadlines, are what people miss.
What is the visa success rate, honestly?
Across our filed cases it sits around 94%. Refusals almost always trace back to three things: a weak financial trail, an unvalidated Universitaly pre-enrolment, or an interview where the student could not explain their own study plan. All three are preventable.
Can I work while studying?
Yes. A study permit allows up to 20 hours a week during term, capped at 1,040 hours a year. It is enough to cover groceries and some rent, but do not plan your budget around it — the visa officer will not, either.
Can I stay in Italy after I graduate?
Yes. Graduates can apply for a permesso di soggiorno per attesa occupazione, valid up to 12 months, to look for work. It converts to a work permit once you are hired, and time on a study permit counts toward long-term residency.
What documents will I need?
Academic transcripts and degree certificates, HEC and MOFA attestation, sworn translations into Italian, a CIMEA statement of comparability and verification, passport, financial proof, accommodation proof and health insurance. We issue you a personalised checklist at the assessment call.
What do your services cost?
The profile assessment is free and carries no obligation. Beyond that we quote a flat fee for the full application-to-visa package once we have seen your file, so you know the total before you commit. We do not charge a percentage of any scholarship you win.
